Bah bah and more bah

Bugger.

Ever since the door kited during the last wind storm it’s been screwed. Originally the door wouldn’t work at all as it was pushing agains the front panel. That was fixed when I replaced the muffler and it looked like everything was alright.

Then, tonight, the door just wouldn’t close. It looks like the latch has been bent in over time. This would have been pissy enough, but it happened at the studio, so I had to drive home with an open door.

Big thanks to Len and DanO for holding the damn thing shut on the way home.

I’ve got a feeling that if I can’t get the door to close it’s going to cost $500 or so to get a body shop to so it. So that I can get the gas tank replaced ($500-$1000), so that I can get a drive clean done.

Looks like I might have to get rid of the blue beast. That’s a whack of cash top spend on a free van. It’s too bad really, as everything else is fine on the thing. Runs like a charm, handles well, strudy as all get out. It’d be a shame to see it go, but I could get a much newer van for that kind of scratch.

As I said, bah.
